Nissan Ariya Concept Design Specs and EV Capabilities
We recently shared images of the Nissan IMk, an EV concept containing design cues that appear to be taken from 30 years in the future. Already, we’re here to share another concept model from Nissan, this one also appearing at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.

We are talking about the Nissan Ariya concept, another vehicle with EV capabilities and exciting design specs. So, let’s dive in, and first take a look at how Nissan designed the vehicle.
We will let the photos do most of the talking, but it’s worth noting how “realistic” this car looks. While some concept models really push the boundaries of current vehicle design, the Ariya actually looks like a crossover that could appear in the market within the next few years. Design features of the car include an electrified V-motion “shield” and an interior designed for lounge-like comfort. Included inside the Ariya is a large display combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
EV Capabilities in the Ariya Concept
Like we said, the Ariya is an EV concept, so it is powered by a 100% electric drive system. But, it’s also engineered for high performance, and this is clear with the inclusion of a 4×4 system.
The Ariya is powered by a two-motor system. One is located in the rear and one is located in the front. So, you can expect near-immediate torque delivery, getting the car the power it needs even in high-performance driving situations.
The concept also features the ProPILOT 2.0 technology, allowing for hands-off driving while in a dedicated and marked lane. The system uses changes to the interior lighting to indicate when the system is enabled, allowing for a more relaxed atmosphere.
It’s exciting to see what Nissan is up to with concept models like the Ariya. To stay updated on more of the latest Nissan news, check back to the Charlie Clark Nissan El Paso blog.
